Sujit Choudhry was born in New Delhi, India in 1970. He is currently the founding director of Center for Constitutional Transitions a global organzation that is aimed at developing great constitutions for emerging democracies. Through his illustrious career that spans a decade, Sujit has identified various knowledge gaps that hinder countries from developing proper structures. His academic and professional life has seen him travel to different countries creating networks of experts, NGOs, think tanks and multilateral organizations with the focus on constitutionalism and constitutional advice.
Sujit Choudhry owes his professional success to the education he got and the interactions he has made in his career. He possesses three law degrees from three prestigious universities namely; Toronto University, Harvard University and Oxford University. His working experience has also allowed him to amass considerable knowledge and experience in public policy and political decision making. His view on the current interests in constitutional interpretations across the world is that, since the Second World War 2, the liberal democratic constitutionalism is now facing its most significant challenge ever.
Sujit has worked with different types of people from different countries, and this has helped him appreciate the difference in ideas and cultures. It has allowed him to listen and interact more closely with the people on the ground since they have a lot to offer.

Currently, Sujit Choudhry together with the International Institute of democracy and electoral assistance are working on accomplishing three research projects. This will culminate in them launching different knowledge products.
Also, he has written several books, articles, and reports which have been used extensively for research proposes. He has also worked as a consultant for reputable organizations such a World Bank and United Nations Development Program
