Focus on Hippeas Chickpea Snacks and Livio Bisterzo

Hippeas is a new chickpea organic snack that was launched earlier in June this year by the Green Park Brands. This range of organic chickpea puffs aims to revive the market of bagged snacks that come with a healthy offering. The brand was launched on June 13, 2016 in various retail partners like Boots, Starbucks, As Nature Intended, WH Smith, Planet Organic and Holland& Barrett on Twitter. The identity and name of this brand is aimed towards the ‘hippie’ modern generation and it has also collaborated with Farm Africa on a joint initiative dubbed ‘Food for Good’. The personality of the brand gets its inspiration from the original hippie era’s iconic smiling face but it has been tweaked a bit for the modern audience. The visual identity of the brand depicts a bold and striking yellow face and has a different tongue color to depict the different flavors. This was in order to make the brand stand out on the consumer’s minds, online and on the store shelves.

This Hippie Chickpea snack is gluten-free and contains not more than 91 calories for the small pack and 455 for the large pack. The snack is intended to be a millennial that is increasingly socially and health conscious. The new snack will come in the range of Pepper Power (sea salt and pepper), Far Out Fajita (chili, cumin & paprika), In Herbs We Trust (thyme, oregano & rosemary) and the Sweet & Smoking’ (onion, smoked sea salt & paprika spice).

Livio Bisterzo is an entrepreneur from Italy but currently resides in Los Angeles and is married with three children. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1999 when he was 18 to study at the prestigious London-based University of the Arts.
