EYA LAURE URGES FANS TO SUPPORT ALAS

EYA Laure sees volleyball in a different lens through her ambassador duties for the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship, an event the Philippines will host in the latter part of the year. Laure, who has been enjoying volleyball from a spectator's view as she's not currently playing for a Premier Volleyball League team, shared that she will be channeling all her energy into promoting men's volleyball and highlighting the significance of the upcoming World Championship in the country.

"Of course, aside from playing volleyball, it's also to encourage them that it's not only women's that can be supported but also men's, because men's volleyball really has something to offer, and we all know that when it comes to Filipinos, they will really show their best, especially when they are representing the Philippines," she said.

Laure, alongside Alas men's volleyball star Bryan Bagunas, will do ambassador duties of the country's historic hosting of the World Championship on Sept. 12 to 28. With 122 days left before the World Championship, the former Chery Tiggo spiker shared that she had the opportunity to train with Kurashiki Ablaze of Japan to promote the country. Being on tour, Laure noticed how Filipino volleyball players have the same drive in leveling up their game.

"Maybe it's the eagerness to learn, like we know that we're not quite as good as them yet, but that eagerness that they really want to improve, that every time they go out [to play]." "And of course, all Filipinos want to compete at a higher level than what we've done before. Hopefully, we can achieve that in the upcoming leagues with Alas."
