(UPDATE) TWO-TIME Olympian Elreen Ando bagged three silver medals at the women's 64-kilogram category at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jiangshan, China.
Ando lifted 120 kg on snatch and 130 kg on clean and jerk for a total lift of 232 kg, enough for her to win a silver medal behind China's Li Shuang, who registered a total of 239 kg and won three gold medals. South Korea's Mun Minhee captured three bronze medals, for a total lift of 214 kg.
On Friday, Rosegie Ramos also got her own trio of silver medals by lifting 90 kg in the snatch and 107 kg in the clean and jerk for a total lift of 197 kg in the women's 49 kg event.
Scoring 200 kg, Thailand's Thanyathon Sukcharoen won the gold medal in this event.
"Thank you Lord, it's all you," Ramos wrote on her Facebook page on Saturday.
In the men's event, Fernando Agad, Jr. won a silver medal in the men's 55 kg clean and jerk, having lifted 141 kg.
Agad missed out on the total lift podium, lifting at 254 kg, as China's Wang Weidong finished in gold medal position, having registered a total lift of 265 kg.
While the hunt for a gold medal continues, the Philippines, so far, bagged seven silver medals in the tournament as of Monday.
