FOUR PBA players will miss the final stretch of the 50th Season Philippine Cup elimination round due to the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
Robert Bolick of NLEX, Von Pessumal of Titan Ultra, and Dalph Panopio and Abu Tratter of Blackwater will be out for their respective teams after being called up for Gilas Pilipinas bound for the regional meet running from December 13 to 19.
Bolick will miss the Road Warriors' crucial battles on December 13 against TNT and Converge on December 17. NLEX is currently in a share of first with Rain or Shine with a 6-2 record, and the final two matches may very well determine placing for the quarterfinals.
Pessumal, meanwhile, will only be out for one game in the Giant Risers' match-up against Phoenix on December 14.
Panopio and Tratter will not be around when the Bossing play powerhouse squads in San Miguel on December 13 then the Tropang 5G on December 19.
Titan Ultra is tied for ninth with the Fuel Masters with a 2-6 record, while the Bossing are last alongside Terrafirma at 1-6.
Bolick, Pessumal, Panopio, and Tratter were listed for the men’s 5-on-5 national team to the SEA Games together with Japan B.League player Ray Parks, free agents Jamie Malonzo, Thirdy Ravena, Matthew Wright, and Justin Chua, as well as collegiate stars Cedrick Manzano, Allen Liwag, and Veejay Pre.
