GG, RSG.
RSG Philippines announced its departure from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines, just days after fellow multi-titled team Blacklist International also exited the league.
"Together we Rose, Slain our enemies and now we call GG," RSG said in a Facebook post.
"As we close this chapter, we do not remember the days, but we remember the moments. Thank you for being a part of our journey. Every end has a new beginning, Phase 1 is now completed."
RSG Philippines was established in 2021, entering the league in Season 8 and turned heads right away the following season after ruling Season 9 behind exp laner Nathaniel "Nathzz" Estrologo, midlaner Arvie "Aqua" Antonio (Xavier), and roamer Dylan "Light" Caitipon and head coach Brian "Panda" Lim.
They continued their brilliance on the international stage after reigning supreme in the 2022 Mid-Season Cup (formerly MLBB Southeast Asia Cup) against powerhouse RRQ Hoshi of Indonesia with a dominant 4-0 finals win.
In the succeeding MPL editions, RSG consistently finished at least in the top four spots. The Raiders, however, ended their final MPL run with a 7th place finish in Season 14.
RSG Singapore and RSG Malaysia have also bared their plans to exit their respective mother leagues.
MPL Philippines also posted a tribute to the team on their social media page, saying “The Kingslayers take their final bow. Thank you, RSG, for the unforgettable battles, the triumphs, and the legacy you leave behind in MLBB. Your story will inspire generations to come.”
