ONIC PHILIPPINES RULES SNAPDRAGON PRO SERIES S6

Onic Philippines added another trophy to its growing collection after sweeping Onic Esports of Indonesia, 4-0, to reign supreme in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC Challenge Finals on Sunday in Malaysia.

Onic Philippines won a second international tournament just two months removed from its dominance of the M6 World Championship, where it delivered the Philippines' fifth straight world title.

And they did so in a dominant fashion.

Onic PH ended the group stage with a 4-1 card, falling just once against Team Liquid Indonesia, which was the same team they defeated in the M6 Finals last December 15 also in Malaysia.

They then made sure there was no letup in the knockout stage as Onic almost swept everything en route to the finals, pulling off a 2-1 win over RRQ Hoshi in the upper bracket quarterfinals before eking out a 2-0 victory against fellow Philippine team Team Falcons in the UB semifinals.

Onic Philippines then sent Team Liquid Indonesia to the lower bracket after a 3-0 triumph in their upper bracket finals duel, arranging a grand finals showdown against Onic Esports.

Jungler Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez led the way in the series opener, dropping a spotless KDA of 3/0/4 with his Fanny as they dominated Onic Esports, 14-2.

Exp laner Jann "Kirk" Gutiierez (Cici) and gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas (Harith) then took charge in Games 2 and 3 to help the Philippine bet secure a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Onic never turned back since then with K1NGKONG (Joy) winning the lord dance before the 10-minute mark before Kelra unleashed a triple kill late on his signature marksman hero Granger en route to the victory.
