The same situation applies in midfield with Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jesse Lingard, and Dele Alli, symbols of a once-promising English generation now in decline.

Up front, the list is just as unexpected: Raheem Sterling is looking for a way out after his nightmare spell at Chelsea, James Rodriguez is without a clear project despite his status, and Divock Origi remains stuck following his unsuccessful stint in Milan.
An all-star eleven… currently unemployed. And as always with the transfer market, a comeback is still possible. But the phone will need to ring soon.
