ELF OILS POWERS ACTION AT TARLAC TRAIL RACE INVITATIONAL

THE roar of engines and the surge of off-road adrenaline took center stage at the 2nd Gov. Susan A. Yap Invitational Trail Race, held in Sitio Baag, Barangay Iba, San Jose, Tarlac, with ELF Oils Philippines fueling the action during the 9th Kanlahi Festival.

The dirt enduro event drew top-tier local riders, motocross enthusiasts, and motorsport fans from all over the country to test their limits on a rugged 32-kilometer all-natural mountain course.

As the official motor oil-partner, ELF Oils Philippines brought its motorsports spirit to life, not just with brand visibility, but with full-on support for the growing off-road racing scene. French-engineered and globally recognized, ELF's presence underscored its commitment to high-performance motorcycling, backing the race with both product and prestige.

With trail director and motorcycle content creator John Mascarinas of Mascarinas Technology leading the charge, the race course featured a formidable mix of mud pits, deep ruts, and steep inclines — elements designed to push rider skill and machine durability to the edge. The challenge attracted riders from Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, including renowned names in the Philippine enduro scene like Ron Mangosong, Ali Khalid, Deci Duos, Des Buncio, and Yuri Gabriel.

Adding a political and enthusiast's flair to the event, Sen. Jose Victor Ejercito, known for his strong support of local motorsports and motorcycle tourism, joined the festivities and showed his solidarity with the off-roading community.

ELF Oils dominated the paddock, not only as a branding force but as a trusted product. Riders praised ELF's range, especially the 2T formulation, for its performance in two-stroke engines and reduced smoke emissions — a crucial factor in tough off-road conditions. "I've tested ELF Oils on my own bikes, and I'm proud to have them support our event," Mascariñas shared in a post-event video.

Over 100 riders battled it out across eight categories: Power Enduro, All China, Ladies Class, Executive Class (40–49 years old), Golden Boys (50+), Open Local Enduro, All Tarlac Class, and All Aeta Katutubo Class. Each category delivered bar-banging, mud-slinging action that thrilled both competitors and spectators.

One of the day's most memorable moments came during the All Aeta Katutubo Class, when the leading rider's bike stalled just before the finish line. In a heartwarming display of bayanihan, the crowd rallied behind him, pushing the bike over the line in a moment of pure Filipino camaraderie.

To top off the race, ELF rewarded top finishers with performance products including 2T and 4T oils, sticker packs, and exclusive merchandise, making sure the podium was just as exciting as the track.

"We're thrilled to support Mascarinas Technology and this incredible event," said Jason Delloso, general manager of YHI Philippines, the official distributor of ELF Oils. "Seeing the energy and passion of the local enduro community here in Tarlac proves how vibrant motorsport is across the Philippines."
