3-TIME MVP VAN SICKLE INKS WITH NXLED

MANILA, Philippines — Three-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) Brooke Van Sickle found a new home with the Nxled Chameleons for the 2026 season of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Van Sickle, the former main gunner of Petro Gazz which has filed a leave of absence from the league, will now be playing alongside her former teammates Jules Tolentino, two-time Finals MVP MJ Phillips and two-time league MVP Myla Pablo.

All four players played a pivotal role in the Angels’ championship run in the season-ending Reinforced Conference, guiding the fifth-seeded Petro Gazz to its fourth league title.

Also suiting up for the Chameleons this season are former Petro Gazz players Jonah Sabete, Djanel Cheng, Bang Pineda, Ranya Musa, AA Adolfo and Jellie Tempiatura.

The Chameleons finished the 2025 Reinforced Conference with no wins but with their beefed up roster, Nxled is expected to have a breakthrough season this year.

Since joining the league in 2023, the best finish Nxled has achieved is eighth place during the 2023 All-Filipino Conference with a 4-7 win-loss record.

In the PVL On Tour, a pre-season tournament, the franchise placed fifth.

Nxled also signed veteran middle blocker Aby Maraño and setter Joyme Cagande from Chery Tiggo as well as middle blocker Aduke Ogunsanya from Choco Mucho, bringing its total number of new recruits to 14.

Nxled has retained the services of Lyann de Guzman, Chiara Permentilla, Krich Macaslang, Lucille Almonte, Jovelyn Fernandez, EJ Laure and Mayang Nuique.
