Who is Jonathan Mogbo?

Mogbo is a 6-7 forward from the University of San Francisco. He was born on Oct. 29, 2001, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and will turn 23 early in the upcoming season.

While he is one of the older members of the 2024 NBA Draft class, Mogbo is a late bloomer by many accounts. After entering high school as a 5-9, 125-pound freshman, Mogbo had no Division I offers despite growing throughout his high school career.

Mogbo spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at Independence Community College and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College before spending his junior year at Division I's Missouri State and the past season at San Francisco.

As a native of West Palm Beach, Mogbo has a longstanding relationship with Scottie Barnes, who also hails from the same city.

Mogbo is a 6-7 forward with an intriguing skill set from his time as an undersized guard before his growth spurt. That he is still growing into his body suggests that Mogbo has much more potential as he moves to the NBA level.

As a senior at San Francisco, Mogbo averaged a double-double with 14.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He earned First-Team All-WCC honors as he helped lead the Dons to a 23-11 record.
