KNOTT PUMPS LIFE TO OLYMPIC BID, BAGS GOLD IN CANADA

(UPDATE) SOUTHEAST Asian Games champ Kristina Knott continued to live for her hopes to make it to the 2024 Paris Olympics after clinching the gold medal in the women's 100-meter dash at the 2024 Harry Jerome Track Classic in Burnaby, Canada on Monday.

Knott blitzed and tallied 11.64 seconds to rule the race.

Canadian Victoria McIntyre finished silver after clocking in 11.94s, while Zion Corrales Nelson took the bronze medal with 11.950s.

In the 200m category, the Filipina American was slower as Knott settled for a third place finish with 23.42s.

Two Canadian bets dominated the race: Zoe Sharar (23.14s) and Jacqueline Madogo (23.20s) copped the gold and silver medals, respectively.

Knott needs to qualify for the Olympic standard of 22.57s in the 200m run to secure her ticket to Paris.

With days nearing the Olympics, Knott now eyes to garner more points to take a slot in the women's 200m category.

Knott was known for breaking records after finishing in 11.2 seconds in the 100m dash in the ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships 2024.

She stamped her class in the Drake Blue Oval Showcase in USA as she tallied a national record of 11.27s last August 2020.
