POLICARPIO BIDS FAREWELL TO LA SALLE

MANILA, Philippines — De La Salle Green Archers forward Jonnel Policarpio said goodbye to his university on Wednesday, amid reports that he is declaring for the upcoming 2024 PBA Rookie Draft.

In a social media post, the incoming sophomore called it one of the toughest decisions he has made.

"Extending all my gratitude to my managers, teammates, and to everyone na naniniwala sa capabilities ko and talent as an athlete. Of course, I also owe everything that I have achieved to the Lasallian Community - you will always be one for the books," he wrote.

He thanked all his managers and coaches, including current Archers coach Topex Robinson for all the lessons he learned.

"I don't know what the future holds for me but I am excited to see what's in store for me as an athlete. always will be, Animo La Salle!" Policarpio said.

Policarpio was a key fixture in DLSU's UAAP Season 85 men's basketball championship, along with Evan Nelle and Kevin Quiambao. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
