JACK ANIMAM TO PLAY FOR RINGWOOD HAWKS IN AUSTRALIA'S NBL1

Filipina basketball standout Jack Animam is taking her talents to Australia to join the NBL1, a semi-professional league down under.

With five UAAP championships and multiple SEA Games medals under her belt, Animam is set to don the colors of the Ringwood Hawks in the league's South Conference.

She shared the news through her social media platforms, in collaboration with the Aussie-based Philippine newspaper Philtimes, on Thursday afternoon.

Australia marks the latest destination for the former NU Lady Bulldog, having previously played in Serbia, France, and most recently, in China.

During her stint with Wuhan in the China-WCBA, she showcased impressive stats, averaging 11.4 points, 12 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 2.1 steals across 35 games. Despite her individual performance, her team finished 14th out of 19 teams with a 10-26 record.

Now, Animam shifts her focus to the Australian courts, where she joins the Hawks, a team that made the playoffs in the 2023 NBL1 season.

Fans can anticipate her debut as Ringwood faces off against the Kilsyth Cobras in their season opener on Wednesday, April 3.
