THREE BIG TEN STADIUMS NAMED MOST 'INTIMIDATING' FOR 2024

The Big Ten already has a reputation for having some of the hardest places to play in college football for visiting teams, and that reputation is only going to get stronger with the addition of several teams from the Pac-12 in 2024.

One college football writer set out to rank the most "intimidating" stadiums in the country for the 2024 season, and he included three from the Big Ten.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports included Oregon's Auzten Stadium in Eugene as the first Big Ten venue on his list.

Crawford noted that Autzen had been a tough place to play before Dan Lanning took over as head coach, but that the Ducks haven't lost at home since 2022 with their new head coach at the helm.

Oregon was a perennial Playoff contender in the Pac-12, and they're expected to stay in the mix after moving conferences.

Penn State's Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley was next on the list, and it's easy to see why. A "white out" game at Beaver Stadium is one of the most unique and impressive sights in college football, with over 100,000 fans cheering for the Nittany Lions.

"If you've ever experienced a white out in Happy Valley, you know what being at the epicenter of college football feels like. Nothing better," Crawford said.

The final Big Ten venue on the list is the home of national champions Michigan, the "Big House" in Ann Arbor.

Michigan has a pair of massive matchups on their home schedule this year, with Texas and Oregon each making the trip to Michigan Stadium.

We'll see how new head coach Sherrone Moore does in his first full season at the helm, but there's clearly an advantage to having over 100,000 maize and blue fans supporting your team on a Saturday afternoon.

The Big Ten was one of the best conferences in college football, and the addition of its new members will only make it stronger.
