DONOVAN JOHNSON, NO. 16 RB IN COUNTRY, ANNOUNCES COMMITMENT

One of the top running backs in the country has announced his commitment on Sunday morning.

Donovan Johnson, a four-star running back and the No. 232 overall recruit in the 2025 class, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, has announced his commitment.

He's heading to Michigan.

“I’m home, Go Blue," he said.

Johnson chose Michigan over offers from Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio State, among other programs.

Johnson becomes Michigan's ninth commit in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. The Wolverines are entering the first year of the Sherrone Moore era, following Jim Harbaugh's departure to the National Football League.

Michigan is coming off a perfect 15-0 national championship season, though the Wolverines have lost a lot of talent - both on the field and the sideline - to the next level this offseason.

But Michigan appears to be heating up on the recruiting trail. The Wolverines now have one of the top classes in the Big Ten following Johnson's commitment on Sunday morning.
